Income Report – April 2020

Side Hustle Income Report 2020 April

April, fueled by the uncertainty of the impact of Covid-19, coupled with even more uncertainty regarding the job front, meant it was a no trading month.

In terms of side hustle income, this means it’s a lot leaner.

It boiled down to:

  1. Short writing gig paying USD$100
  2. Another signup on crypto.com netting me USD$50
  3. Adsense withdrawal – SGD$241 (Since the site started, combined with my personal blog)

This brings my total for April to SGD$453.

I’ve had better months to be honest, and also looking to get back to trading, if I can get my headspace around where things are at currently.

Personally for me, I see the market to actually start going down, especially when markets re-open, and have to re-shut down from a 2nd wave. The market rebounding at such a level in April just doesn’t gel with reality at all, which makes trading even harder.

Nothing adds up.

In other news…

Bitcoin halved

Asset of the decade Bitcoin just had its 3rd halving while I was asleep, reducing the reward supply of bitcoin from 12.5BTC per block to 6.25BTC per block.

Everyone was waiting for either a quick rally, or a crazy dump of epic proportions, speculating that inefficient miners will shut off their operations and sell off all their coins. Opinion was split down the middle (as referenced by my very scientific poll of 10 respondents).

But, nothing much happened, and Bitcoin simply chugged along, at 6.25BTC per block.

My view is that once the anticipated dump does not materialise, and people realise that it won’t dump, it will slowly rally back to new ATHs, as soon as the end of this year.
