Flipping NFTs on Veve

If you follow me on Twitter or has followed my blog, you’ll know that I bought several NFTs, both on Opensea as well as Veve. Well, I recently sold one of those NFTs on Veve, and although it’s not BAYC level, it’s still pretty decent money in a relatively short amount of time, for basically just buying, waiting, then selling.

And then more buying.

So, here’s a little update on the Veve side of things, in terms of my NFT ahem.. “portfolio”.

What I had on Veve

NamePrice Bought (USD)Current Floor Price
1Homer & Bart$374.69$1,950.00
2Avengers Logo$396.99$1,850.00
3OG Devil Bunny – Black (Tristan Eaton)$85.00$103.00
4Throg – Frog of Thunder$47.00$82.00

I sold Homer & Bart NFT on Veve

Out of the 4 NFTs I had, I decided to sell Homer & Bart. I felt it was pretty good returns, and also between Avengers logo and the Homer piece, my thesis is that the Avengers logo will probably appreciate more in the longer term.

I sold Homer & Bart for $1,850. My take after fees was $1,692.75.

Another reason for selling it, was that I wanted to experiment with and get more active on the platform, participating in drops and what not and try to get in earlier on drop prices, and see where this strategy will take me. OR, at least use the gains to parlay into more NFTs.

Long story short, I turned $374.69 into $1,692.75 in 2 months. That’s a 450% return!

What I then bought with the money

So, with the fresh funds in the wallet, I went shopping. And picked these up.

NamePrice Bought (USD)Current Floor Price
1Specimen #80$310.00$286.00
2Wayob$965.00$980.00
3Redrum$193.00$185.00
4Snowflake Labbit$173.00$160.00

Featured Artists

Frank Kozik

Frank Kozik is known for his poster collaboration with rock bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. And of course, the Labbit.

Originally supposed to be called the Smoking Rabbit, a Japanese manufacturer misprint labelled it as Smorkin Labbit, which admittedly is a much cooler name.

Jermaine Rogers

Jermaine Rogers began his career in the 90s, also designing artwork and posters for acts like Foo Fighters, Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead. He ventured into the vinyl art and designer toy movement in the early 2000s, and has had major successes in them.

Tara McPherson

Tara McPherson is an artist within the New Contemporary Art movement. She’s had multiple solo exhibitions and is also one of the leading female artists in the designer toy movement.

I feel like this is a good transaction to make, by selling 1 NFT in exchange for these 4. But time will tell.

What do you think of this trade? Did you buy any NFTs recently?
