As I prepared for an interview for a marketing role with Enjin, I got thrown into this wonderful other world of Blockchain gaming. Enjin is a gaming platform on the Ethereum blockchain. They have their own currency, ENJ, used to purchase, mint and trade in-game NFTs.
They currently have a list of games, but the real kicker of this, is the portability of assets and items from one game to another, essentially forming a gaming multiverse! More on this in a later post on the future of gaming.
I’m a sucker for casual games that I can hop in for 3 minutes before my kids come bumbling over to me for a request or other. So when I saw Bitcoin Hodler, a 2D arcade style adventure with tap control, I was sold.
Here’s my attempt at evading FUD and Hodling my bits.
The Multiverse Effect
The cool thing is that, characters from other games within the Enjin ecosystem can drop in and be the main character that HODLs in this game. Shields and swords found in other games can also be ported over to this game to aid in this quest.
This is definitely a super cool concept that will no doubt be a broader part of the gaming industry and represent the future of how we game.
